There is a lot of fond memories that are captured in this "Old Cardboard Box" video. This is our youth rediscovered from the eye of a video camera lens. The feeling of nostalgia comes to mind while watching this on my computer. There were those moments during that time when I thought that being young would never end; life just kind of stood still while everything else around us just passed us by like a blur. From the parties, camping trips, picnics, excursions, turntable sessions, social events and the all people there helped to establish the UT crew for many years.
Back in the days there was a music vendor who sold records at the Roadium swapmeet, an open air market in Torrance, Calif. During that time many local DJs from the area would go shopping at the Roadium swapmeet for the latest hits on vinyl records. Two of our Dj's, DJ Moo and DJ Flex went shopping there one day and came across Eazy-E, who was there promoting the first NWA album, independently. Eazy-E signed a copy of the NWA and The Posse album for DJ Moo and DJ Flex upon purchase. This is an authentic piece of hip-hop memorabilia in Unique Technique's record collection.
This is a tribute to Ronald "Ron-E-Boy" Siazon Bonoan, a founding member of Unique Technique Productions, who left us all too soon to be with our heavenly brothers from UT. He was a unique brother that loved his family and music. A 21 gun salute goes out in the honor of Ron-E-Boy for his bravery.
Rest in Peace
